At greenROHINI we’re big fans of nature and this beautiful planet called Earth. We also love fine clothes and the opportunity for self-expression they allow.
Most of the cotton clothing worn in the U.S. is made from textiles treated with pesticides as they are growing. These pesticides contaminate our surface water and groundwater, are harmful to plants and wildlife (and humans), and get into the food that we eat. Approximately 1/3 pound of chemicals is used to produce just one cotton shirt (WHOA!!), not to mention that the chemicals most commonly used to bleach and dye textiles are also damaging to Earth and her inhabitants.
Fortunately there are increasingly more and more concerned designers, (and of course farmers and manufacturers) making the extra effort to create environmentally friendly clothing. At greenROHINI we’ve assembled many of our favorites together to create an eco-friendly shopping experience. Enjoy!
